Dragon Dream Team members come from every walk of life and represent all types and ages of breast cancer survivors.   Some are newly diagnosed and still in treatment; others are long term survivors.  But they all have one thing in common….they have all heard the words “you have breast cancer.” 

Survivors come from all over Northeast Ohio to be part of this special “floating support group.”  The only requirement to join is to be a breast cancer survivor and be ready to “awaken the dragon within.”   No particular level of fitness or previous paddling experience is necessary.    Members have the choice of doing recreational or competitive paddling.  
 
Being a member of the Dragon Dream Team is not just about enjoying the fun sport of dragon boat paddling.  Although the dragon boat season in Ohio runs from mid April through mid October, our season of camaraderie never really ends.    The team meets regularly for social, fundraising, and breast cancer outreach events throughout the year.  Non-paddling members are welcome to join and participate in these activities.
